What does each region in Game of Thrones correspond to?

IMO, besides the obvious...

Valyria = Ancient Rome + Persia based on the geography of Greece
Lhazar = Armenia and the Caucasus
Ghiscar = Egypt and Mesopotamia
Ibben = Russia
Qarth = London
