Im in my 30s, and when I was a boy me and my friends used to play war, like we was in Vietnam.
But do kids in Italy play Roman Legionary? Do the French play Musketeer or the British play knights anf shit? (well I suppose everyone plays Medieval shit at some point). Did the Spanish kids play Conquistadors or the Portuguese play Planet of the Apes?

We just used to play war, I don't think it was a particular era. Sometimes it would be guns and other times it would be swords, sometimes both (all done with sticks of course).

Soldiers, Cowboys, Ninjas, DBZ shit, Knights, etc. Used to pretend our bikes were motorcycles or space ships or whatever vehicle was appropriate for the game we were playing.

we also made pea shooters out of pic related and a balloon and had wars with them
Any excuse to fight really, we used to just hit each other with flax plants one time
I sed to live in a commieblock when i was a kid and the kids from my block and the other from the other block used to wage war against each other, We threw pranks, bombs in front of theirleader apartments door and even alliance.
Shit was fun as fuck, we even did some kidnaps during the whole day.

I remember that we used to go to this glen and play war, one kid had borrowed his older brother's soft air gun, I had a rifle carved out of wood and the other kids improvised using sticks. We alternated between WW2 and Caroleans. Other than that we would "explore" old, abandoned cottages in the nearby vicinity, play football, go swimming in the summer, race our bikes and look for porn mags hidden out in the bushes.
It was quite different from what my younger brother and his friends do.
When I was a kid, I use to play
Dragon ball Z kind of shit, walking around in my yard after school, picturing fake dudes coming at me to kick my ass off
Main scenario was about me getting knocked the fuck out at first, and then transforming into a super sayajin and getting up and bombarding the face of the bad guy with punches
