then this guy will take over who is not very popular, the commonwealth realms (nz, canada, australia) will eventually hold referendums on the monarchy
australia/nz will become parliamentary republics, instead of a governor general being head of state we will have a president (no new powers) and the president will be elected directly by the people instead of chosen by the parliament as the governor general is
Canada currently uses the parliamentary system but may swap to a US-style republic since they are basically american now, although members of parliament would lose power if they chose that system so it could just become parliamentary republic like us
tl;dr the funeral will be huge, but the change from monarchy to president in the realms is basically just a change of title for the head of state at this stage

Fuck no, you'd have to open the constitution in order for Canada to become a republic. A vote would have to pass every provincial legislature, the House of Commons, and the Senate. The last time Canada tried to open the constitution Quebec almost separated. Even if most people wanted Canada to be a republic (which they don't) it would never happen.
