How does your country view WW2?
In the US WW2 is generally seen by your average American as the time when we came together as a county and through a combination of innovation, teamwork, skill, and courage defeated two great evils and saved the world.
Nah, the average American sees it as:
Hurr we drop da bomb on Japan we r de real terrorists
MacArthur and Showa emperor

I'm reading a book on post-war Japan right now and I was wondering do u think Hirohito should have abdicated or been punished for the war instead of pretending innocence?
We should have joined Allies , then maybe we would be quick enough to invade nearby Axis states and grab some land.

Hirohito did nothing wrong.

If the japaneses war criminals would have been trialed it would surely be less of a controversy today.
The bad guys won.

Emperor Hirohito looks like a homie
We were buttfucked by allies and enemies both. One occupation ended up with another.
The worst time in our history.

We also see it as a time of complete embarrassment of France.
>If only Brits listened to Chamberlaine sr.
>If only Patton didn't stop at PlzeĆ
We were basically forced to fight by the US, but we got a lot of "free" shit out of it as well. However, since Vargas was a borderline fascist, he had to renounce and reinstate democracy in Brazil, and such we basically lost the best leader Brazil ever had since Pedro II. We did elect him again afterwards, but it just wasn't the same you know.

But we weren't at war with the Soviets and the Brits
