Signing up is piss easy. You just walk in, ask what sort of pricing they have because you're looking to sign up, they pass you a sheet with all that on and then a couple pages of contact/billing info. You fill it out, pass it to them, grab your little key-ring tag thing and you're good to go.
Hardest part is figuring out how to lift properly, my mate has been going for like a year so he has a pretty great set of lifts and can teach me proper form. Also helps to spot you and tell you to man up and push out those last two reps.
Saddest part is I fucked up my form the other day I think and pulled my shoulder, now after a week of gym (2 rest days) and some minor but noticeable results/gains I have to stop until it heals itself :((

Have been applying deep heat to it about three times a day. I've been massaging it all throughout the day and also stretching it as best as I can all throughout the day.
I think it's linked to the fact that I don't have a strong core (abs and shit). Weak core means that when we spent the gym sesh training core; instead of engaging my ab muscles I was compensating for my weak abs with over use of my hip flexors. Has been causing me a lot of my life to have a really sore sartorius muscle after any type of overall activity (skating, swimming, jogging, etc). I think that this plus the fact that I'm a beginner, still learning proper form, the correct amount of weight, not overdoing it; have all been contributing factors.
Was going to go see a chiropractor because it feels like a pulled muscle but I've also been getting a sort of discomfort that feels like something might be slightly out of place. Probably just the pulled muscle(s) not keeping bones/joints in normal, healthy form but better to be safe than sorry.
Any tips on how long I should wait before lifting again? Was thinking of waiting a straight week from now and hope it's in better shape, any advice?
