there isn't a set one, but throughout history we favored light and flexible troops and shock tactics
heaviest turkish troops were used in sieges and in cavalry but to my knowledge turkish infantry never used full-plate armor in battle, they used however plate-mail armor in persian style

a common ottoman battle strategy during 13-16th centuries is as follows;
before the battle decentralized specialized light cavalry units harass enemy supply lines and units for weeks
meanwhile the ottoman army uses its greater discipline and engineering capabilities keeps open a steady flow of supplies
fortified camps are built in roman style everywhere the army goes, discipline and organization of these camps, according to western historians, is far exceeding of anything in the europe during this period
when army meets the enemy in the battlefield a groups very skilled light ranged infantry units engage the enemy first with the support of heavy artillery fire, after that melee units engage a morally weakened enemy with the help of mounted units

of course there are a large number of non-turkish troops that in their own battle formations and equipment, christian vassal units (serbians, wallachians etc) are located on the right flank of the army, non-muslim volunteers however serve alongside everybody else
