Tried it 4 times when I was in Japan. It thought it tasted kinda like coffie.
The first time i tried it i didn't mix it, so some retired japanese ladies helped me. Japanese are so polite :)

Well I like coffee and I like peanuts, but the slimy part might be a bit off putting. From watching an old Iron Chef episode I got the impression that a lot of Japanese don't really like the taste, but eat it anyways.
