Longterm Russia is one of the best places to live but not during our lifetimes

60-70 years from now Russia will dominate Europe and the Middle East due to its massive food producing capabilities that are only going to get substantially stronger over the coming decades while the West declines

The Americas will not be dominated by Russia though as there will be no more true global superpowers, only great regional powers

Yeah, long term I would definitely bet on Russia

Low debt which is getting lower + constantly growing gold reserves, and this continued even through the recession which is now over.

Better birth rates than pretty much any White country, and continuing to improve.

Endless natural resources

Booming agriculture which will continue to grow

Very strong army which guarantees security from external threats

Global warming actually working in your favor

Strong sense of unity compared to most other countries, and a powerful common culture.

In comparison Bulgaria literally won't exist within 20-30 years tops, and the same for the EU.

In the EU, I would only bet on Poland, and only as long as they manage to not get cucked with migrants and keep their 99.9% whiteness.

actually correction, not just Poland but the V4 as a whole will survive as long as they keep the shitskin hordes away, and it can form a new union

70% of Russian export is oil and gas. Around 50% of their GDP is generated by industries connected with selling out natural resources. Their country and economy is worthless without selling out energocarriers. Russia is a fucking gasoline station with nukes and tanks.
>>
>>61590980
Why? Oil prices are down long term and you export nothing else. Meanwhile your politicians are robbing the entire country but you don't do anything about it because you're still obedient serfs inside.
>>
>>61598597

they have a huge internal market and industries that satisfy it, exports are not as important as you think considering their policy of import substitution

call me when you make a nuke or a tank that's worth two shits

or phones like yotaphone

or fucking spaceships and nuclear icebreakers

or a 19km bridge in a couple of years

or your own processors (Elbrus, etc, which are still bad but quickly improving and make them technologically independent especially for military purposes)

or a million other things that Russia produces and you don't

If they are a gasoline station, what does that make you? A stand for plungers?

If they are such a huge production hub, why nobody buys their stuff? It is not important what you produce, what really counts is what you can sell. Russians are subhumans who live only thanks to money that productive countries pay for their energocarriers. And later on they spend this money on importing foreign products. That's their "economy". And all this cheap propaganda about "spaceships", "yodaphones" and "processors" is made only for internal usage of such homosovieticus retards like you.

I am sure that the Russians are devastated that Poland does not buy their rocket engines and instead they have to sell them to USA, where McCain, the originator of the "gas station" meme, is bumbling how they should not buy rocket engines from Russia.

You are not buying their S-400 either and instead relying on the american missile "shield" and making yourself a target like the good goys you are.

>And all this cheap propaganda about "spaceships", "yodaphones" and "processors"

The Russians had 20 bln $ of agricultural exports in 2015 and unlike you, they are not subsidized by other countries, they are the ones who subsidize other countries such as Belarus

Now compare your weapon exports to theirs.

Oh that;s right, you don't produce your own weapons except probably some rifles since you are not a real country, just a blowjob slut for the Americans as your own politicians have said
>>
>>61600779
>You are going to be the food producing powerhouse

You ever seen Russian glubinka? Deserted wooden houses, non-existent infrastructure, it is literally a place where old Russians die in silence, pain and poverty. That's what is left from "Russian agriculture". Most young people moved out from villages to big cities to consume oil-selling revenue.
>>
>>61600604
Yes, it is. Basically PPP assumes that all countries are equal, by accounting for the differences in prices between countries, and then calculates the GDP. The inherent problem here is that all countries are NOT equal. Not even close.

GDP PPP is more important domestically, while GDP nominal is more important internationally. Nominal represents your influence on the international markets.

While Spain has a very large unemployment rate, they are richer than Russia in GDP for this reason: GDP PPP is divided by the number of people to find out the economy per person. That's why Russian PPP is so large - because they have 4 times the population of Spain which gives them more productivity, but as a whole they are poorer.

The worst kind of retard is the one who thinks he knows something.

Google what PPP actually means. Hint: it's not "per capita", as both nominal and PPP have one total and one per capita figure.
>>
>>61601061

There was 17% inflation in Russia yet a year ago, now it is around 10%. It is still huge. You can't use PPP measure in such circumstances, because it changes dynamically. But how can you know such stuff, since you are a homosovieticus living in an impoverished third world shithole, right? ;)
>>
>>61601188

The nominal GDP is the one that changes more dynamically out of pure market speculation you fucking retard
>>
>>61601259
Their nominal GDP is falling down rapidly along with oil price, because their country's economy is a gasoline station, as was previously explained. Almost all money in their country is a result of selling out natural resources for a living, hence when oil price drops by 50%, their "wealth", GDP or whatever you call it, also goes down. The same is currently happening in such countries like Nigeria, Venezuela, Brazil or - to smaller degree - in Saudi Arabia that is rich enough to prop up its currency with using reserves ;)

Fuck it I'm off to bed, this place is full with 17year old experts from /r/Europe. Literally the intellectual rigor of bantu niggers.
>>
>>61601588
????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????

I think you should try to educate yourself on economics before speaking things you have absolutely no idea about.

GDP is the amount of product produced in a country. The bigger the population, the higher the productive value simply because there are more people employed, more people produce things. Spain has 40 million people, Russia has 144 million. See?

Take for example China, numbnuts - it has 3 trillion larger economy than the United States in PPP, but in nominal it's 7 trillion smaller. Are you trying to tell me that the Chinese economy is bigger than the US? Do you know now why that is?
>>
>>61601757

He's right, that's GDP Per Capita you retard. PPP refers to Purchasing Power Parity, and it compares how much can be bought in a region based on a monthly salary. It has nothing to do with size of the population or GDP, though it should be noted that Russia is worse than Spain both in GDp Per Capita and PPP.

The Chinese economy is also smaller than the US one, in nominal, real, and per capita terms.
>>
Russia will be _probably_ comparatively better than EU only if Russia nukes EU to ash. There is no other way for Russia to be better, unfortunately, because Russia is a country ruled by a shady group of criminal kikes and mongols, and Russian society is an unproductive and lazy human trash due to massive brain drain. I don't want to be rude, but that's the truth. The only thing i can wish for Russians is having more Russian middle class in Poland, especially IT professionals, because our IT industry grows faster than number of workers that we can supply.

And don't forget to take children with you. We need a lot of children because we have low natural growth ratio

supply strucures have to be earthquake and wild-fire rsistant, the amount of sensor data for that huge infrastructure requires a fuckload of IT staff, and the pipes are patrolled by locally-manyfactured drones. thousands of people have to work places that are only accessible by helicopter and only a few months a year. and via pipeline that pumps dead dinasaurs so angsty Eastern Euros can run german-made machines that produce 4-layered bottom delight

And how much you are going to earn on it? Few million dollars? Dude, Poland buys your oil and gas for 18 bln dollar every year, it is more than WHOLE export of your WHOLE HUGE MILITARY INDUSTRY is worth : >>61600954>>61600602

One little Poland pays more for your oil than hundreds of thousands of Russians working in military sector in Russia are able to produce and sell. Where you Russian homosovieticus people finally begin to use your brains?

You need to have a FACTUAL economy to feed your nation, but you don't have it, You are a fucking gasoline station so far and you are totally dependent on productive countries that buy your energocarriers. That's your real situation. Realize it.

You are useless even as a supplier of energocarriers. And later on you are "shocked" and your president makes stupid jokes in reaction to the fact that Poland searches for more credible suppliers.

that's political shit, and I'm pretty sure you guys made it this way. up until this cold war 2.0 stuff some Eastern Euros have been rooting for, Russia's been a steady supplier for about 40 years, day and night, no break or rest, according to the contract. But it can get just too much sometimes. Any business can get tired of a rude client. You know "we reserve the right to withold service" kind of thing.

but i'm sure it's just political babbling, and Russia will contine selling, since this guy says you people like the oil so much you're practically supporting Putin's pension >>61604435
>>
>>61605360

If Russia was the only supplier of Poland, it could do such things all the time without any consequences, fortunately Poland diversified its energy sources and is still doing it.

And you admitted yourself that Russia mixes politics with business. Poles pay heavy money for Russian gas and they shouldn't worry or even know about political problems of Russia. Business and politics should be separated in every civilized country, but in Russia these two things are connected with each other to such degree that it is impossible to treat Russia as a credible supplier.

yeah news about Poland are sparse, but I found this
http://blogs.wsj.com/emergingeurope/2014/06/11/russian-firm-ramps-up-pressure-on-poland/
> Acron launched a hostile takeover bid for the Polish state-controlled company in 2012 but its plan was thwarted by the government, which instead of selling its stake responded with changes that prohibit Acron from taking over Grupa Azoty.
it's a government-controlled business in Poland, it seems, but I guess guess pushing some prohibitions to specifically bar a company from legally buying a share counts for something

>>61605821
how do you figure? is EU gonna let us in and start spending billions on social in infrastructure projects in siberia, or US stop supporting "freedom fighters" in chechnya or fighting wars that create millions of jihadis on Russia's doorstep? come on, that shit's silly, we're no lithuania, too big to buy us whole and improve our lives on pocket change. I'd change my mind probably, except even with countries that small Western management can't make them but marginally better than Russia

and defending borders with china, iran, north korea and jihadi lands ain't gonna get any cheaper even if NATO goes away. I don't see some Dutch or Spanish or whatever NATO troops saying on afghani-tajikistan border getting blown up on a weekly basis just to save a bunch of Russians, has to be our guys. and our guys have to get payed.

>Polish state-controlled company

Yes, in such case Polish government has a right to give orders, because company is a property of government. But Gazprom is officially a private company, not a company of Russian government, right?

Moreover, this guy who wanted to buy our chemical company Azoty was a Jewish crook, that's why our government blocked the transaction. There was a very high risk that he would destroy Azoty if we let him buy it, to get rid of competition in this region of Europe. Moreover this Jew is a very close friend of Putin and he consultates business decisions with Putin, so our government gave him a status of foreign agent as well.
>>
>>61606430
> But Gazprom is officially a private company, not a company of Russian government, right?
wrong, pretty sure, government's got over 50% share
anyway, government can easily order business around in any country, stop talking fairy-tales and nonsense
>>
>>61606493
>government can easily order business around in any country

Maybe in Russia. If government tried to tell a private Polish company what to do, it would be a crime, and owner of company could sue government.

I suggest you read the NIC's report from 2012, titled Global Trends 2030: Alternative Worlds. Russia is one of the polities that get major focus. The report is obviously a bit dated and the NIC is very likely to revise their analysis and conclusions the next time around, but it makes for some interesting reading.

>Global Trends 2030: Alternative Worlds
seems like a nice read, but generally part of a russia in decline kind of thing that became popular along with the end of the soviet union among people who haven't been to russia

to be specific, it seems to me that a country with abundance of all basic resources and a reasonably powerful military should be given more chance in the world of overpopulation, scarcity and political instability.

but i guess we'll just have to wait and see
