Can EU just exclude them from everything EU-related and stop trade altogether?
>>
>>61587515
They could but they won't. The might suspend their EU membership but that's all.
>>
lol you do realise that the EU will suffer far more than Britain from that right? We're in a very strong negotiating position.

It was sad that they voted to leave but I don't see any point in revenge if they don't try fuck EU any further and give their A50 notification soon.

They signed a defense co-operation paper with us 2 days ago and buy our timber and have been buying it for the last 500 years. Probably one of the reasons Finns had money to get out of the Russian yoke.
>>
>>61588676
It's not about "punishment" friend, it's not a zero sum game. That said, Britain isn't in a strong position to negotiate at all, as shown by about half of the population having second thoughts as well as pretty much the entire political establishment.

In fact, Britain staying in the free market while leaving the EU is one of the worst possible outcomes for them, as it means (due to all the opt-outs Britain had) being pushed even more to the fringe of the EU while at the same time being subject to most of its legislation without being able to vote on it. And considering Britain's economy is more focused on finance than exports, it would actually end up being a better deal for countries like Germany and the Netherlands than the UK.

We'll be fine seeing as we don't have to subsidise countries like Greece, Spain, Poland, Romania, Bulgria etc. Sure we are going to take a hit at the beginning due to knee jerk reactions but in the long term we'll be better off and can make trade deals with any country we want without needing 27 other countries putting their fingers in the pie.

The Euro is doing worse than the pound due to Brexit, that tells you everything you need to know, Germany is just anally devastated because their plans to take over Europe have failed yet again.

>France won't actually stop the border at Calais
Mostly because that's a mutual agreement between the two countries unrelated to the EU and Brexit. The only threats about the possibility of the treaty being ended came from some no-name local Calais politician. Hollande never gave his opinion on the matter, and he's the one who can choose to uphold or disband the treaty.

>We won't be going to the back of the queue after all
It's not as bad as the Remain camp implied, but conversely Britain's increased trade freedom isn't as good as the Leave camp implied.
http://shanghaiist.com/2016/06/24/china_brexit_response.php

>There wasn't economic Armageddon
Nobody implied that, from day one economists all over the place (including Paul Krugman) said that things would probably remain bad but get better.

>The leader of the remain campaign lied about invoking Article 50 immediately
Which is mostly related to Cameron stepping down. He's leaving the decision to his successor.
http://www.lefigaro.fr/international/2016/06/29/01003-20160629ARTFIG00012-cameron-le-non-a-l-ue-marque-un-depart-sans-retour.php
However, he did imply that it's a departure without return and that the Brexit will happen no matter what.
http://www.lefigaro.fr/flash-actu/2016/06/29/97001-20160629FILWWW00002-cameron-le-royaume-uni-va-quitter-l8217union-europeenne.php

Cameron simply realizes that while the Article 50 procedure needs to happen, actually taking the final steps is political suicide. Now Britain is in the weird and perhaps unique situation where nobody wants to win the next elections.

The vast majority of UK exports go to the EU.
Meanwhile, only 14% of EU exports go to the UK... exports that could be easily replaced to Russia and Canada after our economic trade pact.

UK sells more than half of whatever they sell... to us.
So they are essentially fucked.

Britons act all cocky like: EU can't let itself lose their 14%!! meanwhile... they would lose 60%.
Apart from that, 20% of their GDP comes from the financial sector.

And the EU wants a cake of that... and will get, at least half.

Actually, the longer it takes for the UK to Brexit, the more they will suffer.

In Spain, while there was turmoil for Catalonian indy referendums, companies were moving from Catalonia to the rest of Spain due to uncertainty... that's why Madrid doesn't care. Catalonia will become another average part of Spain because companies are fleeing to the rest of the country.

With the UK It's the same. Their economy will be below of France's and if Scotland gets their independence, below of Italy.

Probably even with Spain, when Northern Ireland goes away too...

It's very possible that Spain will be richer and more powerful than the UK in the coming decades.
>>
>>61591264
Hell, a few years ago Sarkozy outright said "Turkey isn't European" and told Obama to stay out of European affairs when the latter implied Turkey joining Europe would be a good idea.

The left in France is dead, so either Sarkozy or Le Pen will be the next president. And neither enjoy the idea of Turkey joining in. Well, maybe Le Pen but even then it'd only be to crash this union without survivors.

It's simple... British oil and gas are becoming irrelevant.
The structure of the anglo economies is expansive due to having being an Empire until recently and/or having vast empty lands full of resources (USA, Canada, Australia)... and in the case of the UK having gas+oil, and a big financial sector draining money from everywhere.

But if you take out the oil, the gas, and the financial sector, you only have an empty shell of what was an industrial country and it's no longer one. The UK would and will be fucked.

Meanwhile Spain has it's own oil sector in tourism. We get 60 million tourists yearly and we are expected to get +125 million in the future. Huge money flows.
Apart from that, many retired people spending their money here.

In that sense, the money from the UK, Germany, etc. old people flows directly into Spain.

Apart from that our renewable sector is huge, and we get more sun/wind per capita here, so the pieces are turning around in our favour.

Economics major here.

Sure it's attractive if you're a poorer nation but the rich nations have to pay for it, it's one of the reason I voted leave. When we joined the EU it was clearly stated that it was about countries of a SIMILAR economic standing having free trade and freedom of movement, now the EU annexes gypo countries with the lure of neetbucks

Hey I remember you posting the exact same thing yesterday when I called out your shilling. Even your insults are scripted.

Now you're talking about something else so you must agree that Turkey lost its negotiating power. Another thing that everyone seems to ignore is that the Turks don't want to join EU after all the snubs.

could it be that everyone, not just me, thinks you're retarded?
>>

Does Farage pay you in advance?

That sure is a lot of nonsense.

I'm sure you'll enjoy losing the British tourism when the EU tries to fuck us though.
>>
>>61590852
Yes, but obviously the tide will turn if Brits start to play dirty with holding the article 50 for, example, since there is no reason for that.
>>
>>61591802
i think we'll miss it a lot more
being globally seen as full of racists and a laughing stock doesn't help tourism

America's relationship with Germany is stronger than her relationship to the UK:

Deflection tactics really are the most pathetic thing for a shill to do. You got beaten and now you're in damage control calling everyone else a shill to try and deflect.

The EU really cheaped out when they hired you boys.

I don't doubt it, our politicians are eternal merchants, they'll do anything for a few extra quid because they know they'll never have to suffer the consequence of their neighborhood being taken over by immigrants.

I kinda hope we stay in the EU but the leave vote is definitely a massive wake up call that people aren't going to take being jewed over for much longer.

It's predicted that we will get 150 million tourists by 2040.
We actually get about 60 million.

Where are Britons going to go? Arab countries? Australia? too expensive.

Brits will be still vacationing in the EU because they have nowhere else to go, unless you want to go to ISIS area.

And old people will still retire here, because they want to live surrounded by white people, it reminds them of old Britain.

Most of the tourism goes to the Spanish islands though and I wouldn't be surprised if every business owner officially "died" in a fishing boat accident so they don't have to pay taxes kek

Hotels are probably massive tax dodgers too.

Of course they care about having a good trading relationship with us but it's also in their interests to make us suffer in order to prevent other countries from going down the same path. And we have way more to lose - our exports to the EU represent about 45% percent of our GDP while exports to the UK represent 3% of EU GDP.

Terrible idea m8. The UK will come back within 10 years, the demographic changes alone would warrant this. They are still a strong economic partner and fucking them up means that we will all be weaker than we could be when we unite again. It's also a bad idea to portray the EU as some dictatoric 'with us or against us' institution and fuel shitty populist pensioner movements across the continent.
>>
>>61592966
Tony abbot was great. He actually defended hia country from the refugee hordes unlike our cucked state minister
