well it depends on the material of the floor in the majoirity of homes in said country. In mexico many homes have hard stone floors, slightly polished, that gather a lot of dust. They're cold and are much more easily traversed with shoes on. As a result the shoes stay on. In the united states it varies, in some of the regions, the heat and moisture make wood floors and tiles much more common than in the colder regions where carpet is used for maximum comfiness. Iceland you are alittle faggot if you think taking off your shoes before entering a building makes you any less autistic than what you already are.
In houses we use flip-flops.
