try the complete economic meltdown of early 90's
>The depression of 1991-1993 had a deep effect on the economy of Finland throughout the 1990s, especially in terms of employment but also in culture, politics and the general sociopolitical atmosphere. During this period the gross national product decreased 13% and the unemployment rose to 18.9% from 3.5%. Since then, despite overall recovery, the unemployment has been persistent, and Finland has never returned to the state of near full employment that existed before the crisis.

The amount of people in breadlines and drunks on the streets.

My friends not being able to afford simple things football gear or having to move because they couldn't afford their house anymore.

Schools having to shutdown special clubs (like football, chess and floorball) and limiting language studies (I had to switch from studying German to studying English due to budget cuts).

My parents struggling to pay the bills (due to my mother being laid off) and the general feeling of despair from the adults in my life.

It wasn't very dramatic but there was a constant feeling of worry about the future and coping.

Though this might have been because I'm from a working class background so the problems of the depression manifested themselves more frequently in my neighborhood.

Blue is conservatives
Dark blue is nationalists
Orange is regionalists

Though that was the first round, in the second round all the other parties allied against the nationalists, destroying their credibilityand proving the nationalists point that they were all the same party anyway in the process.

>>61517889
I don't know. She will definitely at least get to the second round, probably get at least 40%. But all the other parties will again ally against her. But with attacks, she still might win.

What's the solution then? The Gaza peolple voted for a terrorist group to govern them, which uses the money for making and buying missiles. Without the blockade it would be 500 times worse, what would you do if you're Israel? Let them kill your citizens?

Nothing justifies such a crime and no cause is great enough, would you feel empathy to a man who murdered the son a banker because his house was taken by the bank due to debt?

They started with these attacks since the beginning. The blockade is to stop them, not the cause.

Do you think having the best defense is just a coincidence? Israelis had to build it because of the attacks. It didn't stopped them, but at least it reduced some. The blockade also reduces some others.
What can they do? Would you just let them kill your people? If they stopped attacking the blockade woulnd't be neccesary.
I agree that they should be an independent state but with this situation i understand why israel doesn't do it.

I wouldn't question anything in that case, someone who even considers murdering a child on purpose should end up being shot and if he came from a certain community that encourages this kind of behavior then the entire community should be looked with suspicion on the highest level.

And just because we have great defense doesn't mean we need to allow them to arm and target us, not to mention waste resources on defense because they exist.

They didn't "turn" violent with the blockade.
The violence started from them with the plan of partition of the british palestina territory. Before that, jews and arabs from palestina were fine there, but arab palestinians couldn't tolerate the idea of a jewish state there. That's why they didn't accept in 1948 the half-half partition and the jews did.
>>
>>61527616

Do you have any fucking idea how much the Kirchner helped the country in contrast to Macri?

Everything Macri did until now is being a liberal faggot and letting businesses go apeshit with prices. The only good outcome of this is Argentina realizing how much they need socialism and considering a PCA presidency.

>the same argument that Hitler made against the Jews.
It is the same argument Hitler made against the Jews, and the reason it worked so well to sway the public opinion in Germany is because there were grains of truth in it. The argument logically makes sense, just not as directed at the Jews living in Europe at the time.

Palestinians, on the other hand, are literally a militant society with no goal aside from the eradication of Jews from that geographic region.

Pretending that Palestinians are generally a peaceful people is lying to yourself and other:

Stolen from whom? They were from the UK and with the partition plan they were going to be half from arabs and half from jews.
What makes the arab palestinians deserve it more than the jews?
If you think that the jews don't come from there, i remind you that they were from there before the palestinians even existed, then were expelled and some had to go to europe (ashkenazim) and the rest though middle east and north africa. What's wrong going back home?

I'd argue that this is one of the reasons why the current left/right political axis doesnt really work anymore. It's based on the ideological split of bigger vs smaller government, but that doesn't really describe the political cleavage of most democracies anymore.

If the Native Americans wanted to do away with the US, and were even willing to use violent means to establish their own country here, and even went so far as to favor deportation of any people of non-Native descent, would you support them?

In the beginning, though, they did resist. There was much friction for a long time between the US and the native populations.

For how long must the conquered people succumb to their conquerors for in order that they lose "their claim to your territories"?

Also,
>they live in their reservoirs and whatnot

that's not like it. they set their own rules and laws, the US doesn't force anything major on them.

I can tell you that in Italy if you occupy a house for 20 years, you are legally the owner, and the original owner loses its claim to that house. 20 years is a generation, more or less.

I didn't say Israel should give them back the proper Israelian territories.
I said Israel should renounce its claim to the Gaza Strip and the other Palestinian territories, recognize its sovereignty, and gradually decrease the blockade. For example, only allow commercial trade with some states, and initially only Israel perhaps.
>>
Erdogan's and Muslims' coming to power
>>
>>61531494
>I didn't say Israel should give them back the proper Israelian territories
The way Israel sees it, all of that land is theirs. The West Bank was Jordan's turf from 1948 until 1967, when Israel annexed it.

>Israel should renounce its claim to the Gaza Strip and the other Palestinian territories
Again, as they see it, there are no "Palestinian Territories." And in terms of "renouncing its claim to the Gaza Strip," been there, done that. After the Israeli withdrawal in 2005 the Oslo Accords give the Palestinian Authority administrative authority in the Gaza Strip. The Rafah Border Crossing has been supervised by EU Border Assistance Mission Rafah under an agreement finalized in November 2005. The Oslo Accord permits Israel to control the airspace and sea space.

>recognize its sovereignty
Israel recognizes Gaza, since they officially gave that land away to the Palestinians, but there is not other state or country there for them to acknowledge. No other exists, and they have no interest in a two-state-solution.

>only allow commercial trade with some states, and initially only Israel perhaps
From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaza_Strip#Economy
>The economy of the Gaza Strip improved in 2011, with a drop in unemployment and an increase in GDP. New malls opened and local industry began to develop. This economic upswing has led to the construction of hotels and a rise in the import of cars. Wide-scale development has been made possible by the unhindered movement of goods into Gaza through the Kerem Shalom Crossing and tunnels between the Gaza Strip and Egypt. The current rate of trucks entering Gaza through Kerem Shalom is 250 trucks per day. The increase in building activity has led to a shortage of construction workers.

>In 2012, Hamas leader Mahmoud Zahar said that Gaza's economic situation has improved and Gaza has become self-reliant "in several aspects except petroleum and electricity" despite Israel's blockade.
