Not really. We are semi-stable, but definitely can't keep going like this: political violence is frequent, crime rates are just crazy, and the ruling party is obscenely corrupt; and despite this, the majority of the country votes to keep the ANC in power, and will probably do so for the next 3 or 4 presidential terms, if not more. At least we have a technically functional democracy though, and it's just the voter base that's causing nonsense.

The lower the number is, the more stable country is and the darker colour should be on the map. Somebody should send email to these guys who made this map.

If you actually go to the website and look at their data, the map is weirdly misleading. They have Japan as 157/178 (with #178 being the best aka Finland) and Mexico and South Africa as 107 and 108 respectively. So I have no idea why they colored it yellow in the map when it should be light blue.

It seems to consider immigration as something that makes a country less stable, so it makes sense that the rest of the nordics are below Finland. We can also see that Sweden and Germany have really high numbers in this category despite being in the second highest tier.
Iceland is less stable because ... the rest of the world is attacking them more? Seems that way. Would probably share category with Finland if USA didn't free them all the time.
