Here, we got paired with classmates as dancing couples. We had extra girls, so some girls were paired with other girls. I just had one of the female classmates walk up to me and say "we paired you with xy".
But I'm socially retarded so literally everyone was dancing except for the two of us. She even said "hey, anon, do you remember the moves?" to get me to dance and I just said "no".
I was reading in whole thread prom as porn and was literally confused like hell.

Most people give a shit here. They treat it like a "right of passage", akin to losing your virginity, learning to drive, or shooting a crackhead from your pickup truck.
If you skip it and stay home then you are seen as a weird loser, and you are supposed to spend the rest of your life regretting it.
I skipped with some friends, and we got stoned, and went roller skating... that was a socially acceptable alternative.
