Our political elite are impossibly out of touch with the people. 77% of us want immigration cut, yet our MPs support immigration. It's why we wanted out of the EU, yet our MPs previously wanted more countries added to serve their big business masters' want to undercut our wages.
And no one except a tiny minority regrets it, the elites are just trying to worm their way out of leaving as ordered by the people.

Please be serious. It doesn't even mention any specifics, just bold claims how it's going to be a SUPERSTATE NO NATIONS

>The plot has sparked fury and panic in Poland - a traditional ally of Britain in the fight against federalism - after being leaked to Polish news channel TVP Info.
Has sparked what now? The supposed "leak" about how we're "doing away with individual member states" was barely even on the news. The only news station to have mentioned it is the national one - or rather one of its channels that nobody watches - which is basically the propaganda center for the eurosceptic and fearmongering ruling party. In fact, the only journalist in the entire country to have reported it used to be a member of that party and was moved from Breitbart-tier Polish websites to the national TV after the elections.

The "nation state" concept is slowly withering away. This increasingly connected world of ours will turn that aging concept obsolete.

European countries aren't that different. We share common values, we watch the same TV shows, listen to the same music and dress the same way. We can get along nicely - especially Western Europeans. We can live and work side by side.

I encourage you to travel. Europe is more than your post industrial slum on the outskirts of Liverpool. And when you say that "we" want no part of this superstate - who the fuck died and made you King?

And yet the EU has caused mass unemployment in half of the continent and pissed off huge sections of the populations of many countries. We're just the country with the most eurosceptics, but they're on the rise across the continent too.
You can't make the huge differences in employment law between say the UK and France the same without pissing off both nations massively.

I'm afraid the people won't give Brexit a chance, to see if it was worth it you would have to wait for years. But people are going to see a year of shitty numbers and are going to dismiss it while it might be a temporary downturn.

What also doesn't work is that the British from how I see it aren't going to elect some sort of libertarian government which would turn it into the free market paradise they envisioned.

There is also the fact that British companies have to abide by EU laws to sell their products to the EU and I don't see companies making 2 types of sets of products to sell to the EU and to non-EU nations; they're probably going to go for the strictest most common party (probably the EU) so the limits will be the same for a lot of companies.

So yes... I don't see how it looks up. But maybe who knows the EU did ristrict too much and the commonwealth could assist a lot as well.

This isn't true at all. You're oversimplifying a really complex problem caused by many different factors. You're doing this because you're not well informed and possibly poorly educated.

>they're on the rise across the continent too

I never denied this or even mentioned this. This is the typical crowd mentality. If we weren't going through an economic crisis, support would skyrocket.

67% of British people voted to join the EEC in the 75 referendum. It had major support, even in England. British euroscepticism grew because of the economic crisis and the biased and dishonest media coverage. Media outlets in Britain have abandoned their integrity a long time ago.

>67% of British people voted to join the EEC in the 75 referendum. It had major support, even in England.
It was sold to us a trade deal only back then you know? None of the political bullshit and ever closer union. That change into the EU is why Euroscepticism grew in this country, so many people felt lied to and deceived into joining something they never wanted, not because of economics or the media.
If the EU was still the EEC, this referendum would have never happened and we'd still be happy members of a trading block.
>the biased and dishonest media coverage. Media outlets in Britain have abandoned their integrity a long time ago.
We have as many pro-EU media outlets as anti-EU though. Completely irrelevant.

>How are any of these questions making sense?
You said Euroscepticism was caused by the economy, but it's rising even in Germany which is doing very well.

We're out now anyway, but why do you think Cameron got the concession to make sure "ever closer union" didn't apply to the UK? Because people here do not want that "ever closer union" or where it's heading.

Obviously politics itself has to be involved in a trade deal. But a trade deal does not need a flag, an anthem, an unelected executive, a parliament and all the other trappings of an attempted state than the EU has gained over the years. That's the part that many in UK never wanted and didn't ever get a vote on having.
>No, you're wrong
TV media is largely neutral though? What channels are pro or anti-EU?

I'd say that it isn't right wing to be opposed to immigration when your rationale for it is that it severely undercuts wages and is a ploy for big business to increase profits by driving down the cost of labor by bringing in workers who are desperately poor (hence why the Libertarian Party here in the US favors open borders). I'd say anti immigration is right wing when it's motivated by xenophobia, like a lot of people here being afraid of Muslims.

Don't worry, it's just the establishment having a hissy fit.

The Brexit is a modern-day peasants' revolt. The poor and working-class voted for it in far large numbers than the well-to-do and well-connected. So now the political and media elites have rained damnation upon the plebs. Their language has crossed the line from irritated to full-on misanthropic.

This is as ugliest anti-masses sentiment explosion ever. And the end consequences of it are going to be terrible.
Ordinary people are effectively being told they’re too dumb for politics. And democracy is being treated as a negotiable commodity that can be cast aside if we the stupid people make the wrong decision.
This is a kind of tyranny.
Their mask has slipped. The global elite, mad as hell after the referendum, has dispensed with its usual bullshit about “respecting all views,” and shown that beneath the veneer there seethes an ancient hatred of the masses.

You know, these kind of quick, violent, upheavals on the basis of principle or revolution, are never pretty from the outset. If they were, everyone would do them in the blink of an eye.

The truth is the EU is starting to crumble and strain, and the longer you stay in the less chance you have of avoiding the inevitable meltdown in the next 10 or 20 years. No, immigration is not going to slow from all of the borders. Greece, Spain, and Poland are not going to stop being poor charity cases. France is not going to stop turning right-wing with their situation and they're next to cut ties. Once that happens it's a done deal.
