because we have a lot of food thats of very low quality thats marketed HEAVILY to a lot of people and has been marketed to them for decades. the fattest people i know just grow up eating the same shit they made their mom buy them when they were like 5 years old and impressionable, things that are easy to prepare and require little to no cooking skill that you can eat right out of the can or right out of the box or from a drive through.
