The eastern part of the state is gently rolling hills, farmland, and home to Omaha, its largest city and financial heart, and Lincoln, its capital. The western part of the state is called the "Sand Hills" due to its arid nature, and is home to such famous Oregon Trail landmarks like Chimney Rock!
Nebraska is actually home to a lot of strange government oddities, such as a single-chamber congress, a "Unicameral" (like the Senate, with no House of Representatives), and a publicly-owned electricity/power provider called NPPD, that has its board of directors elected.
