yes I can, swimming pools are common here since snow birds like to come here.

Do you primary or secondary?

Primary? No, we only had 3 classrooms. We took a bus to the pool in the city on Monday afternoons though.

Pretty sure I can still swim but it's been years since I last went.

I'm surprised so many didn't have school pools. I thought it was universal to have them unless the school is tiny.

In America they used to give driving classes and swim lessons in school, but now that's Islamic gommunism so you have to pay out of pocket (if you're able)

2) depended on the school desu, some did, some didn't, i went to i think nine different schools in my school career
3) yes, of course. some people have retarded parents and it's a pretty important skill desu. the schools that didn't have pools took kids to the local pool to do lessons. i find it weird that some people simply don't know how to and it's not a phobia, i've never heard of that except for my (somewhat literally) retarded younger sibling.

When we lived in the US, our house was only 5 minutes away from an outdoor pool
I went there every summer. My grandmother was a swim teacher and my dad was a lifeguard, so from a young age I've always been a strong swimmer. I rarely swim now though, so I'm not as strong as I could be
>>
>>61311053
that doesn't mean swimming will never be useful, whether for recreation, fitness, or for places like beaches and whatnot even if you're landlocked

That's pretty sad anon. It really can't be that hard to go to the beach, can it?

Like a lot of Australians, going to the beach was an integral part of my childhood.

The public swimming pool was few hundreds meters from us. And most finns learn to swim before school.

I think it's pretty inherent when youre a kid, like learning how to ride a bike. When i was really little I did the doggie paddle then when I got a bit older I kinda just mimiced the freestyle movements and went from there

Man, this brings me back. It was back in 6th grade when i got into swimming lessons. I remember i fell in love with a gril and always checked her ass out in her swimsuit.
There was this time i almost break my skull because i tried to dive in the most superficial part.
Then there was this other time when i started having going bearmode and when i got into the pool everyone got out and treated me like a disgusting piece of trash.

Not meaning to be rude or rub it in or anything, but I just want to let you know how bizarre that sounds to me. We really take our beaches for granted, it's at most a two hour drive and usually much less for pretty much anywhere in NZ to get to the sea, I can literally see it out my window. Beaches n shit are pretty much an integral part of our nation's culture (unless you're a Chang or Pajeet who can't swim for shit). Feel sorry for ya lad.

Swimming pools are boring. I learned how to swim by myself in a river.
First underwater, then on the back and finally the usual swimming.

The only circumstance you have an excuse for never learning to swim is being born, raised, and living your entire life away from any ponds and rivers whatsoever
