Not really. France doesn't have any real rivalry in divegrass. Nothing even close to Brazil - Argentina or Germany - Netherlands, at least. And I don't even talk about chimpoutmachines like Serbia - Croatia.
Rugby is the sport that has the biggest France - England rivalry by quite a margin, but even this has been seriously toned down il the last 20 years (however until the early/mid 90's, some serious butthurts occured on a regular basis). Plus rugby fans are actually civilized, so it's ok.

Serbia played against Croatia in semi-finals. For security purpose, Serbian authorities asked Croatian to not come, but 500 of them did anyway. They had to put a square of 1500 full-gear anti-riot police (when I say full gear, it means with full armor, helmet, shield and weapons) in the stadium to rpevent each sides from killing each others, plis 2000 more outside the stadium.

I like the idea of an EU, but good god, we can't have it as it is. More respect needs to be had for international soverignty. Being a nanny that has no real teeth but does have some money and can incentivize countries to do the right thing and live up to benchmarks that are important to the Eurosphere? And it also seems like all of Europe decided to either put the illegal immigrants and refugees in Britain or turn a blind eye to them trading across poorer euro nations to get there. That is NOT okay.
