First of all, Costa Rica is not San Jose or the Central Valley, there are more than 100 000 Amerindians in the Central Valley, the second region of the country with the most (being the North region the one with less). The ones you are referring to are not even Costa Ricans, they are Panamanians.
I understand your problem, you have been raised to believe there are not Amerindians here or that they all leave in the mountains, like I said, you probably think the Amerindians you have seen are just Mixed, Colombians or Nicaraguans. Btw, Amerindians are the group that commits less crime in the country, so I doubt they kill each other in the mountains.
