Lithuania was actually larger than poland at the time, their royal houses had already been in a personal union for a couple hundred years before so it's safe to say both states were on equal footing

Lithuania was huge but undeveloped. At first we wanted Lithuania to join Poland and stay under the flag of Poland. But Lithuania was stubborn and we didn't give many fucks about this. And we let us both become Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. And if Lithuania didn't join us it would be eaten by Russians and eventually us so it wouldn't even exist since like 4 ages.
