People of other countries, especially EU countries, how is the Brexit being reported on your news? Is it a big story? Do people care? How have your prime ministers/presidents reacted and what have they said about it?

Just curious.
>>
It is briefly mentioned for 8 seconds saying nothing other than it is a thing.

Then it's followed by a 5 minute piece on one of the Royals taking a shit
>>
>>61156433
>Is it a big story?
Yeah, it has been on the news for the last couple of weeks.

>Do people care?
Not much. I don't live in a touristic area so it doesn't affect us.

>How have your prime ministers/presidents reacted and what have they said about it?
I don't pay attention to that retarded faggot. He and his party are a bunch of mafiosi incompetents.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/jun/22/spanish-minister-accused-of-conspiring-against-political-rivals
>>
It's not mentioned on local news but they talked about it on world news. Obama thinks staying is what's best. Probably because it's easier to control a united Europe than individual countries.
>>
>>61156433
>Is it a big story?
yes
>Do people care?
People don't care about anything here. Apart from people from the clothes industry. They would benefit A LOT by your leave
>How have your PM reacted?
in the only logical way: telling you to stay in
>>
no fucks given
>>
>>61156635
Why would your clothing industry benefit if we left?
>>
>>61156433
>Is it a big story?
Not really we just had election in several major cities.
>Do people care?
Not particularly
>How have your prime ministers/presidents reacted and what have they said about it?
I have no doubt he said something since he craves every tiniest moment of media exposure
>>
>>61156685
You're one of our major competitors in that field. If you leave the union, other european countrieswill want to trade with us if able to choose
>>
It's barely being reported at all. The first article I saw about it is from yesterday and it was about how staying in the EU meant a better free trade agreement with Canada
>>
>>61156433

People who are interested in international affairs are quite worried as it seems you are going to shoot your own foot. Me too.

Yes. Media coverage is quite extensive here. Special TV programs tonight included.

Spanish media and establishment are massively pro remain.

Being said this, common people don't care about much more than the Eurocup. It's seen as a distant issue that doesn't quite affect us much
>>
>>61156433
not a big deal over here
>>
>>61156681
UK is remaining in the EU anyway. Brits don't know what's best for them.
>>
>>61156829
>>61156635
>>61156530
Surprised it's getting much coverage in Spain and Italy, thought maybe northern yurop countries would be more interested and thought you southerners wouldn't care about us.
>>
>how is the Brexit being reported on your news?
Pretty important thing, one of the "unes", top news.

>Do people care?
Actualy, yes. Besides the fact that it's an historic moment, most people don't want to UK to leave.

>How have your prime ministers/presidents reacted
I said to your gov : "don't leave".
>>
>>61157087
Even France wants us to stay? :3

I thought Europe would be like "lel fuck off brits"

Most people aren't too educated on british politics.

>>
>>61157136
Not really. Brexit should be harmful for both EU cunts and UK.
>>
everyone's at the beach here
>>
>>61156433
The Brexit is presented as an irrational, uneducated choice, driven by nostalgia and populism.

"Wrongly informed, emotionally distressed" is the literal headline of ZEIT.de (comparable to Guardian) right now:

http://www.zeit.de/index
>>
>>61157136
that's just because the current french government is pro-EU, as it is ours
>>
>>61157136
we have an intensive media brainwashing about it
>>
>>61156948

But you do? Fucking lol
>>
>>61156433
The news have been going on about it for a few weeks now. It's somewhat of a big story considering how it might affect the future of EU. There are people who care and people who don't. Our ministers and politicians are mostly against leaving, because muh strong EU
>>
>>61157245

it's true, that's exactly what it is

So German news tells the truth?

Impressive.
>>
>>61156433

It won't become something majorly reported unless you leave. Plus, the Orlando shooting and Democrat sit in is the major thing right now
>>
>all the "hurr britain collapses if they leave durr no more trade" ITT
Hi shills! How about the fact that EU is not democratic and aims to become a federal union?
>>
From our state run news:

>oy vey those selfish racist nazi brits might crash the world economy with no surviviors! the pound is ruined!
>RIP strong indepent womyn mp killed by evil white right wing nazi british male
>look at these cherry picked clips showing how silly and inept boris johnson and nigel farage are!
>look at these cool celebrities who endorse remain!
>>
>>61157322
hmm.. or maybe, just maybe it's deeper than that. we are the UK, have Common Law, haven't been invaded for nearly a thousand years etc.

I'm not saying there is a Little Englander element to it, but it's part of our national psyche mate. It's not just a bunch of rorkes wishing for the good old days of Empire.
>>
>>61157347
i love how the US cares about its own shit first and foremost. german media acts like we do not have any problems and have to sympathize with the rest of the world instead.

our news say that eu is gonna collapse (implying) if brexir happens
>>
>how is the Brexit being reported on your news?
Every media demonises the possible Brexit, "it would hurt the entire world", "it could rapresent the beginning of the end of the big european project", "both EU and UK will lose money and power from it" etc. At the same time they day that it won't be a great damage for Italy.
>it Is it a big story?
Yes during the last 2 weeks every media spoke about brexit
>Do people care?
Most of them don't seem to care too much about brexit then we have lefties who don't want it and the far right parties who beg you to leave.
>How have your prime ministers/presidents reacted and what have they said about it?
He wants you to remain of course.
>>
Yes it's a big story. All media are shilling hard against Brexit of course.

>>61157357
>How about the fact that EU is not democratic and aims to become a federal union?

We have an exemption from "ever closer union". It will be written into law

Our country funded news report literally only arguments for staying. The only retort they showed, was Boris Johnson saying they are basically fearmongering of what will happen if they leave.

>>
>>61156433
Brexit is huge and every publication is openly begging Britain to stay.

Personally I'm torn on the matter. I genuinly believe EU-membership is better for most people in the UK. But I'd also like to see what the EU can do without british obstructionism and the US influence that comes through them.

>>61157595
is this the % that supporters their own nations exit, or brexit?

no it's not you're a fucking idiot. just because the right are the loudest does not mean they are the only people going for it.. there's a strong left/socialist argument to be made.

A free trade agreement would only be accepted if we agree to EU rules and regulations, i.e. the ones we follow now to be members.

We don't want to be like Norway, following EU rules while having no say in the making of said rules. That would be stupid as fuck

its a very neutrality.
japanese TV and newspaper reported bad side and good side of the EU.
good side: freedom of border, EU has removed customs.
bad side: if the UK leaving EU, UK economy be shrinking.

but i dont think so about "bad side".
the UK pay for EU. if leaving it, UK can be use money in the your country.

also, i dont like EU basic principles.
that means eliminating of border and sovereign state.
in the future, finance, economy, military.. they all entrust this for the EU.
but germans have decisive power in EU. in other words, EU is German colony.

For Serbs it is the question if Brits leave
1)Why the fuck do we want that?
Does Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania lives better?
2)Majority actualy want EU laws to somehow stop all those coruption and crimes, and we need EU but are we going to sink under the radar now if Brits leave, your resign from EU will change somehow climate for us, thats the main news and question, HOW and WHEN?

The Brittish will return Gibraltar!
They will even pay for Spain to take it back.
>>
>>61163511
do you remember the falklands lad? can you imagine the expense of flying halfway around the world to fight and eject an occupying force on our island?

That's how seriously we take protecting our overseas citizens. Protecting Gibraltar is smalltime in comparison

in the event that britain magically turns into a fucking hostile state with closed borders to identified trade ships, maybe they can travel through the huge fucking gap that is still there.

whos gonna pay top dollar to shave like 20kms off the journey.

if you think a canal around fucking gibraltar is gonna make you money, i've got a monorail to sell you.

The poor are the people who will benefit most from leaving, particularly long term. Wages will rise, there'll be more reason to spend more money on training natives, no floods of immigrants that outclass native workers in both effort and experience.
>>
>>61163745
The spanish wouldn't do anything but protecting their own boarders.
It's their right to close them.
It's not up to them to keep YOUR gibraltar alive.
It's up to you.

There is no issue at all.
You can't expect electricity, open boarders, sweet water and what not from random countries.
You have to supply Gibralter on your own...like you do with the Falklands...

Cool.

Ok your money instincts are much better then mine.
So the UK guy was bluffing and I felt for it.

Gibraltar realy is a lost cause for the UK if they leave the EU.

Especially if Spain enforces their territorial waters by international law and bans UK ships.

with additionally ban of UK planes from spanish airspace the routes to fly will be super ridiculous

If you're blue collar poor chap from a rich country, why the fuck won't you leave? They EU is "meh" tier for me, we are with Serbian tier wages even after 9 years in the EU, so it's "whatever" for me.
But EU means more completion for you on the job market from fuckers from eastern and southern Europe. There is no benefit for you there, only for the rich.

Also people from the 3rd world with amazing 70% unemployment, the EU is not responsible for them, your own fucking government imported them ,but the EU will push for more of them in the future for sure.
So there is no benefit for you.

We had the same wage grow rate with them even before the EU, so the EU is not helping at all in that department.
The EU is just giving money for meme projects like bicycle lines, that no one is using. I think they are just laundering money with that shit and don't care about our "infrastructure". So even the "free money" for our whole market is useless.

not yet but the new deal with Cameron should allow them to do it, if/when it gets passed

I think your Southern european immigration is even bigger than your Eastern european one, because of their insane 25% unemployment. Don't just look at the wages. I don't know why good old Nigel is also not talking about them.
>>

I mean not particularly the UK, other EU states
if gypsies from EU states which are EU citizens go to Germany/France etc, they have the option to kick em out if they don't work?

NAFTA lacks the free movement of labor provisions, and a lot of regulatory authority.
I wouldn't mind seeing a weak pan-American Union to coordinate immigration policies and encourage bringing manufacturing back from Asia to the New World, to be honest.

do you see it as positive or detrimental? or neither, i'm sure much like the EU it's got it's own good and bad

The debate between Boris Johnson and the kebab was reported on the news and radio today.

Everyone in my family except for me thinks they should stay. My dad and brother are not registered to vote fortunately.

Average wage maps are trash, because you have countries like USA, Russia and the UK with huge wage inequality. So if you put one billionaire with 10 average workers working for 1000$ per month, you get much bigger average wage.
Here is a better map.

Actually they lost 8.5 billion pounds in 2015, which includes the subtractions of what they got back (and can't decide what to do with it)
But they will lose more if they leave, which is certain, at least for a short term.
EU has them in a great deadlock.

>It is as undemocratic as a the polish head of states appointing his ministers

Too bad this head of state cannot remove the Commissioners afterwards, like he does with his ministers!

Too bad the subsequent European legislation is also superior to any national legislation wanted by this head of state!

Your comparison is invalid, try shilling better next time!
>>
>>61164267
I'm working a low level job that is suited for the working class right now over the summer. And at least 70% of workers are foreign in some way. Either Spanish, Polish/Lithuanian/Latvian/Romanian/Other Eastern Europeans, and recently numbers of idiot Sudanese/Somali/Ethiopian and other East Africans have fucking skyrocketed.

To say that there isn't an influx of unskilled migrant workers is wrong.
>>
>>61156433

Many people in Barcelona are following it with interest. I even heard people talking about it in the street, yesterday.
Also, independentists are specially interested. They are going to use it as an example of a democratical recovery of sovereignity

Also, poor EU countries get literally killed by the EU. Their population is vanishing at alarming rates. See Portugal:

>Portugal has the highest emigration rate as a proportion of population in the European Union. More than two million Portuguese people (20% of the population) now live outside the country. It is estimated that more than 485,000 workers left Portugal between 2011 and 2014 to seek better living and working conditions

It's a genocide without deaths, their nation itself will disappear if the trend continues. Old people will die, and will not be replaced since the young will all live in fucking Germany to afford a living. Only retired foreigners and African immigrants will live in "Portugal", ,which could be called Nondescript Colony With No Natives at some point.

I'm a Catalanist (it's not the same thing). Separatists are quite annoying. But the main reason I do not support them is because they are flooding us with immigration (even more than the Spanish central government). And they even call them "new catalans".
They are "cuckseparatists"
