Almost all economists forecast that Britain would suffer an immediate shock, and reduced growth and living standards in the long term. The Institute for Fiscal Studies predicts a deterioration of between £20bn and £40bn in the public finances by 2020, and Britain would be forced to spend years renegotiating trade deals.

That said, I do understand why you want to vote leave.

The truth of the matter is that nobody knows what will happen because economics is 90% bollocks. Not to mention the trade quotas and undemocratic process imposed by the EU.

This simply will not happen, increased uncertainty will not increase confidence, not even the most ardent brexiteer is claiming that

>the UK will be able to focus on itself
Again, we're except from bailout deals, and our net budget contribution is fuck all compared with the benefits of trade. Businesses, that have absolutely no idea what will happen is will leave because no one's set a plan out for it, will not start investing more, that bollocks. There's a reason the pound went up when remain showed it was likely to win in the polls. If investors want us to leave the pound would have gone done.

>Trade quotas
If you had find a single study that finds the EU diverts more trade and than it facilitates i'd be amazed

>>61113098
What regulations would you actually repeal? The most intrusive ones are on workers rights and climate change, and I can't see them being repealed if we left. People would kick off if you stripped back workers rights and the UK had a large hand in putting forward that climate change legislation.
There's a reason that the Brexit camp never get into the specifics of the regulation, since they don't actually know what they'd repeal and the gains from repealing much of it would be pretty small, especially compared to losses from less free trade.

>increased uncertainty
Brexit would show that Britain cares more for its people and businesses than for megacorps. That's not uncertainty.

>There's a reason the pound went up when remain showed it was likely to win in the polls
Yeah that's because all of the banks and governments who determine that value want Britain to stay.

>EU diverts more trade and than it facilitates
The EU forces you lot to trade with eurozone countries, you could decrease your living expenses and improve the global economy by getting getter deals.

I have 8-9 metres of books on history, economics, politic and anthropology mostly, I am not an expert in anything but IT sadly. I am not trying to say you are wrong, but point out that investor confidence is not something that can be predicted any more than the economics in general. If poor econmic times come quickly after the decision either way confidence will drop, its something effected by a large number of external events including Black Swans and so really only sets of predictions can be made with probabilistic values attached to each. Probability does not mean it happens though.

uncertainty would almost certainly go down, putting aside your vague platitude about 'putting british people above corporations' any business that has 2 years of not knowing what it's trade arrangement will be will not decrease uncertainty, that's utter fantasy.

Secondly, it's not just banks and governments that hold foreign exchange reserves, it's also international investors and businesses that partake is cross-border activity. And before you start shouting about 'muh megacorporations' the UK needs that investment money to fund its trade deficit without increased borrowing

Thirdly, the EU does have trade argeements with many additional countries, Korea, Mexico, ect, and is in the process of aranging one with the US. Trade agreements are complex as fuck and take fucking years to agree upon.
And regardless of how well the world economy outside of europe grows the EU allows us to trade in services more easily, which we're actually good at producing, where standard trade agreements only cover goods.

Restablishing new trade agreements that are as beneficial as that we have with the EU would take decades

>Investor uncertainty is pretty much what is says on the tin: when investors pull their money because they're worried about stocks losing value.
Even putting aside the fact that the UK does kind of need their money to fund it's imports, when i'm talking about business and investor confidence i'm not just talking about international capital moving in and out of britain, i'm talking about the investment of everyday businesses in the UK on capital, plants and workers. If we are put in a situation where no ones is sure what is going to happen in the economy all those business will delay their investment, this leads to less spending in the economy and therefore reduces the income flowing around it.

This will all be dismissed or ignored tho

There's some more for you. The import tarrifs make it impossible for foreign business to offer competitive rates, thus UK companies must trade within the EU even if they end up paying more than they would without tarrifs. I though you were the economist?
