Yes, it exists. As the other American said it gets overstated sometimes. Nonetheless race, class, ethnicity, language, whatever, these things all end up influencing things they shouldn't.
It's not useful to blame the common white man for that kind of thing though. That's why everyone complains about overuse of the word "racism" - it tends to be a code word for hating white men.

But still, black culture in america usually means that most black people think and act like ignorant nigger criminals who are worthless to society in most ways which is why they arent favored by most organizations. well yea not really, it isn't just white people, its every other race in the country and even successful blacks to a larger degree than most people are willing to admit. Statistically speaking black people fucking suck, extremely high crime rates and generally against doing anything that cooperates with society beyond their own circles. I used to think it was racist propaganda too until i started living and working with poor blacks in New York. Turns out most of them really are total cunts and dont show any potential or desire to join productive society. They're mentality is exactly like they fucking white trash rednecks spread across the deep south and Appalachia, they just have a bigger victim card to play and live in the cities where they're harder to avoid.
