It costs countries that had to build their own economy, usually countries that now have a budget deficit, a lot of money. It just seems like westeners get a really shit deal out of it. Personally I'm okay with it, as long as the coutries are actually developing and aren't shitholes that carelessly borrowed a lot of money and now need regular payments from the EU just to pay of their debt interest.
