Free for Russian citizens. Stupid people who can't go for a place payed by government pay themselves in a range form 30-40k roubles (500-600$) per semester in a shitty uni and up to infinity (500-600k roubles in Higher School of Economics, the most prestige humanitarian uni here, as far as I know).

Actually many educated people are liberal because education just give you enough facts and examples that make you think so you would choose more progressive ideology. It's worldwide phenomena. In Russia most of low class people are conservative putinists while most of educated people are liberals, as far as I know educated people in MENA are liberal or left too while low classes are usually nationalists or islamists. That's because of education.

Cultural differences, in America black people obviously use the Internet but a) they're already a minority and b) they frequent different sites, like world star and shit. Do you really think people enter university and acquire a wealth of insight and perspective to the world, and realize its liberal progressive truth? Or do you think that maybe they just learn what they're told? Liberalism has been the academic direction of the west for centuries.
Why were none of the great intellectuals of the past liberal when they were far more educated than a university student in 2016? Why wasn't Aristotle championing for suffrage and social equality? Why wasn't Dante an advocate of gay marriage?

Have you ever studied at uni? You would always have different points of view, in uni, media, etc. Uni just gives you knowledge and reasoning apparatus which allows you to think properly. Also most of the people worldwide becomes liberal or choose any other so called "progressive ideology" and educated people are more liberal than uneducated worldwide despite different regions have different higher education history with different thought schools dominating there.

Trust me. I did my degree and I've already realised how pointless it is. At first I was motivated and all, but after a while I realised its just a piece of paper and not only that , but there are thousands of others with the piece of paper fighting for the limited jobs left.
So I dropped and got to doing work

I think they hate the universities that teach liberal arts and other non-sensical studies that don't actually teach you anything useful.
I think it's weird too because in my country you have to finish high school at the highest level to get into university which means that liberal arts majors are supposed to be just as smart theoretical physics majors. It's almost insulting.
