I've looked through my collection recently and I've genuinely no idea where the fuck did I even get some of them. Canada, USA, sure, that's relatives and family friends. Europe, travelling with parents. But then I come across shit like stamps from Kenya and I'm completely stumped.

I just use to buy the various stuff that was released by the French post. They release shitload of stuff for collectionners.
However, with the development of auction websites, it all turned to shit, as shitload of people just zergrush them when they're released and keep them for speculation purposes. So if you're not a hardcore obsessed collectionner, you're more or less fucked.

I collect currency from every country I visit. While I try to keep both coins and paper notes, I'm missing bills from Georgia, Iceland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Qatar. However, I still have plenty of coins from those places.
I'd have a lot more bills if it weren't for the damn Euro. As it stands, I think my collection is worth upwards of $100 or $150 USD. I'll be traveling even more this year, so I expect it to grow.

I have from all over this continent, and europe, I have a few 2 dollar bills, and I think Malaysia and Singapore, thats it.
mostly use 1 dollar bills but since 2010 or so, new 1 dollar/balboa coins went into circulation (without usa's permission thanks to our mafioso president, so they were cancelled and should become collectibles in a few years)
the other coins, both $ and B/. are equally common

No shit? Had never actually seen much Roman money outside of of appraisal and Eyewitness books.
Truthfully, I have no idea how much any of them are worth. I put most of them in bags years ago and left them in a suitcase. I have a lot of American pennies from 1801-1852.Half a book full of Mercury dimes, a handful of pfennigs from the late 1800's, not sure what they're worth or what colonies they're from.
There are around 10 bags filled with coins from the last three centuries that I've never really sorted out. I'll have to go through them.
>>61019415
Aight. Accidentally packed the Russian coin away. But it was made from the shavings of larger silver coins, under a Czar Nicholas, can't remember if any roman numerals go after his name.
Have a Space Jam token in the middle instead.

You wouldn't immediately think things like that would be cheap. Then again, things like that last a lot longer than other things people could normally get their hands on. If you're curious enough, I bet there are a lot of forums with people who could easily identify it for you.
>>61020162
Thanks, same to you. The artwork on them looks fantastic. The profile of the woman on the bottom bill reminds me of the robot lady from Metropolis. When is that set from?
You're right, though. It's kind of cool to think about how many hands the older stuff has passed through and what it was spent on.

If this wasn't 4chan, I'd just send you one. You can find some starting at around $3 usd on Ebay. Not sure what the deal would be on the shipping. Randomly picked 1917 because it's a cool date:

Those nickels don't come by easy, cool to even think about how it wound up there. The 200 reis coin is cool, too.
Serious? Thought if anything is in Cyrillic I think it's Russian by default because I'm a chucklefuck. Never really looked much into the Yugoslav wars, just knew they were nasty and that I'd give my right nut for an M70 underfolder. Those bills would legitimately look good on a wall in a wooden frame.
