Like most ethnic groups, they fear losing power and integrity amongst themselves. If they get too widespread, they lose identity and struggle to find one amongst whites. In North America, we also have a process known as Redlining. Up until the civil rights era, it was pretty much open policy. The government would work with real estate sellers to make sure only "certain people" had access to houses in certain districts, relegating black families to shit areas of a city or suburb, or the wrong side of the tracks. It kept their votes neutralized thanks to a process called Gerrymandering and made sure their political representatives would either be black puppets or white masters.
This sort of shit will drive a nigga crazy, man. And memos from the Goldman Sachs real estate scheme proved that redlining by race was still utilized up until 2010. So THAT SHIT WAS STILL PRIVATE PRACTICE UNTIL RECENTLY. And even now, it's probably still in place, just more secret.
