INFORMED ANSWER
>Third World Country
Historical characterization for neutral countries during the Cold War. In this sense Argentina was a third world country.
>Developing Nation/Economy
According to the International Monetary Fund Argentina is defined as a developing economy due to its low GDP and its instable economy (see late 90s-early 00s depression). Like other Latin American countries there are also problems with corruption and expropriation which limit FDIs into Argentina.
>South America
>first world
>>60938934
Fuck no
Like most Latin American countries it suffers from the disease of socialism. Corruption and low economic liberty that slowly strangled the economy, people getting poorer due to the bad economy so they tax even more to pay for welfare to sustain the poor, which in turn strangles even more the economy. What happened to Latin America is what will happen to Spain, Greece, France and Italy unless the tendency changes drastically.

Uhhh, what?

Don't make broad generalizations about the causes of economic collapses across the Latin world, especially to promote a political view.
In Argentina's case no socialist policies have ever been seen as the cause of its most recent collapse almost two decades ago. It was due to dollarization (peso pegging to the dollar), Carlos Menem's borrowing, and massive amounts of debt. Not necessarily socialism.

Argentina is on communist-tier of economic freedom. Hard to do business, low financial security, big bureaucracy, one of the highest tax burden on the world, state appropiating private enterprises, etc.
Yes, it's socialistic, you don't need to fly the red flag to be one, it's all about economic policies.

They weren't socialist though. Up until the Argentine Peso Crisis they were actually implementing austerity policies to lower the debt. They are corrupt, but corruption isn't inherently socialism. That doesn't mean that other countries haven't crashed under the failure of socialist policies. Argentina is just not one of those countries. Trust me.

>they were actually implementing austerity policies to lower the debt.
This means absolutely nothing when your average citizen can't create a business because of the tax burden or foreign investors don't invest in your country because of the high risk of your financial assets.

And let's not forget about the last expropriations of local and especially foreign companies that happened in Argentina and Latin America.
A foreign company goes to another country, creates a big company with their money that in turn generates wealth for all and creates jobs until a socialist quack rises to power and expropriates it.
What happens next? No Spanish or any other foreign company is ever going to invest in an Argentina, Venezuela or any other socialistic shithole ever again knowing that the local state can just steal their company in a blink. -->The economy gets even worse.
