I don't think it's going to be a problem to bear that flag anywhere in the world except liberal parts of US.

That flag is a regional flag that pre-exists the civil war, and having nothing to actually use, they used that so they would know who not to shoot at. Its really the hero of the story because with out that flag stepping in while the confederate government got its shit togeather (they did finally get a decent flag, like 2 minutes before they lost the war) war would have been impossible for both sides really

I honestly don't know why the flag is so popular in those communities there, I live on the opposite part of the country. I think they just use it as a symbol of being proud of being rednecks/hillbillies really. We had a huge amount of emigration to the US in the 1900s, so there are tons of Ameriboos all over the country.
