When setting Region to Ukraine, OS X uses 24-hour time (17:08). But iOS 9 uses 12-hour time (5:08 PM). Which time format is correct in Ukraine? Google seriously doesn't find any sites that tell me... :(

I think they have standard continental format (24)

My guess is the same. That they use 24h, and use 12h in casual speech (like "it's 15 past 3" for 15:15).

I tried like 20 google search terms and can't find any official reply.

Hoping someone in Ukraine knows. I need the right answer for a project.

24 hours only in everything official, PM/AM shit always make me stuck.

IRL we use 12 hours system adding some define word as "morning", "night" and so on.

What is your computer and phone set to? 12 hour format or 24 hour format?

Can someone from Ukraine please answer that?

My confusion is that OS X uses 24-hour time for Ukraine and iPhone uses 12-hour time for Ukraine.

It's 24 hours. Officially and practically.

Ok I found something that finally answered how to format time:

http://unicode.org/Public/cldr/29/core.zip

file: main/uk.xml

Time format is HH:mm, meaning 24-hour time is the default for digital devices in Ukraine. So it is just like Sweden. Using 24-hour time and reading something like "15:20" and in casual SPEECH saying "3:20".

Thank you for confirming that I found the right anser! Now I know that I should show 24-hour time for the ukrainian translation. The unicode I found also helps me with the other countries I was wondering about! :) Woo.
