It works economically for us because of our stringent policies taking only immigrants with money and masters degrees+ but socially it doesn't work all too well. It kind of destroys the culture and moral fiber desu desu

Not really the same.
Back in those days we put those immigrants in isolated parts of the country on farmland.
AND Ukrainians pretty much look like "Canadians" if you shove them in Canada Goose jackets and put toques on them.
