It's not a bad house (and even better since I'm renting it from my dad for a song), but the lot shrunk over the years from its original ~1 acre size so now it has two garages, an outdoor office, a massive driveway, a neighbor on either side and behind and a very small front and back yard.
Goddamn subdivisions.
The house before that was a one-off Spanish Colonial on a double lot that my parents made mad dosh on thanks to good luck and sweat equity, the one I spent my childhood in in was a cheap-as-fuck modern (90s modern lel) and the house I don't remember very well but got a look at a few years later was a beautiful 1890s Craftsman that my dad purchased from his brother at cost.
