If History is to be believed, illegalization and oppression of an idea can never kill it. Rather, it only strengthens it as its followers start believing that they are oppressed heroes. Not to mention that such an act will only trigger the "Streisand Effect"
The best way to kill an idea is fight it with another idea.
aka legalize it but shame its followers by mocking it in public and outright showing why they are flawed beyond belief.
