I always thougth that Fox News was a meme channel,but apparently, about 50 % of Murricans are watching it, also it's the most watched news channel in the US. Can someone explain?

Pretty much this, and the fact that very few people under the age of 35 get their news from the TV anymore, so a large part of Fox's viewer base is baby boomers and older who are set in their 50's and 60's era ways.
There are a lot more left-leaning TV news outlets than right though, which, as has been said, is the reason that the ONLY conservative TV outlet gets so much viewership.
