Cheers lad, and nice image.
Can't say I know Lithuania too well despite our geographical proximity, aside from your girls being qt.

Amalienborg
Ribe inner city
>>60668197
Almost looks French/Italian
>>60668509
Yea, it was very inspired by St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.
Its beautiful though and quite neat to have in Denmark.
This pic is Christianborg, our parlament.
>>60668707
Pretty neat stuff. Have an old photochrom of Copenhagen too.
The tower in the foreground is Vor Frelsers kirke, which still hadn't been repaired after the Britbongs chimped out on you.
>>60669180
Nice picture
>after the Britbongs chimped out on you.
Those were bad times. We have never recovered and we also lost you guys.
>>60669445
Have this old map too while we're at it. Seems like Copenhagen, like many other European cities, used to have more spires than those we see today.
>them hills tho
>3 posters
/urban/ like always : ^)
>>60669597
Yeah it does. Here is another slightly newer map.
Copenhagen was pretty well defended back then. Some of the ramparts and the small starfort still exists.
>>60669787
Normies are out
>>60670480
quite a rarely view in Japan, such tacky(as for Japanese standards of course) towers
>>60670579
Yeah, it's one of Tokyo's weird island skylines.
The residentials there are pretty standard modern Japanese ones. I'm not too fond of them, but they're not the worst thing to exist either I suppose.
>>60671030
>>60671030
Hnnng, I love Chilehaus
One of the absolute finest works of early modernism
>>60669597
These are not realistic, the city is very compacted and only the important buildinges, ie. those with spires, are actually drawn, making the skyline appear more impressive
>>60671334
I mean, they are the most accurate hints we have to what our cities looked like in the past.
None of them are likely completely accurate, but these artists weren't pulling stuff out their ass while they drew either. All of those are buildings that once existed, and still perhaps do.
>>60671946
Wow, nice. Is this Paris???
>>60666935
thats amazing
>>60672060
Yeah, the whole temple is home to some really nice art, both old and new.
Oh well, time for sleep. Leaving the thread to new worlders now.

Night drives are so comfy, when the traffic is light anyway.
https://youtu.be/D9aORqMr88I
>>60676375
but houston is densifying...downtown used to be alot worse...
but it's still a struggle despite 100,000+ ppl moving to the houston area per year. the houston area doesn't have much in the way of natural barriers, so the urban area is very spread out.
>>60676458
Hopefully it gets denser, we need some nicer cities.
>>60676447
yeah sometimes i watch drives and passenger rail trips on youtube
>>60676532
It sucks because I'd rather be the passenger but no one I know wants to go for a night drive.

>>60677407
Ah. I am quite the BAboo. One day I need to come down and check it out.
>>60677416
Do you know the name of that particular street? It's a real qt
>>60677416
do you take it? it's really cool, i love those kind of photos of cities at night.

>>60677564
I have a few of Guatemala. This is Guatemala City right?
>>60677590
Yeah, thats the one.
>>60677622
Is it safe there? Is there a lot to do?
>>60677501
it's a beatifull city. anyways i guess it can't be compared with american cities.
>>60677640
American cities look like ass anyway. The only ones I like are NYC and SF
>>60677630
It is safe if you are careful. Yes, there is plenty to do I guess.
>>60677677
i was thinking about nyc, washington dc, chicago, and LA.
i bet those are great cities. with all the old and new building and historic monument
>>60677677
No love for Chicago?
>>60677731
I forgot about DC. Its not bad. Chicago is meh. Like a discount NYC. LA is a cesspool.
>>60677731
DC's neoclassicism is top tier.
>>60677771
Its not bad but Buenos Aires trounces it.
>>60677767
i'm saving all your pictures.
seattle seems to be a nice city, surrounded by a beautiful landscape.
>>60677815
I just really like pillars.
>>60677853
Seattle looks ok. I just think most American cities are dull and uninspired. Aside from a select few.
>>60677908
NYC is another ball game. Its awesome.
>>60677912
well, at least you have a few, we only have one(buenos aires), there are some other nice cities, but most of them are small and can't really be compeared with out capital.
the rest of the country is a mix of nice and beautiful landscapes.
anyways i choose cities over nature.
>>60678059
>anyways i choose cities over nature
Good lad. I can enjoy nature too, but I really enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city.
>>60677972
Too bad about the garbage problem, it really ruins some areas.
>>60678059
>anyways i choose cities over nature.
agreed.
How is Buenos Aires? Do you live in a Parisian-esque street?
>>60677972
>tfw its a 6hour drive to NYC
>want to see lady liberty and eat pizza
>no car tho
>>60678138
Do you live in NYC? I've only been once when I was little. I'd love to go back and explore the ethnic enclaves and Hudson Yards once its done.
>>60678194
It could be worse. You could be trapped in suburbs in the midwest like me.
>>60678220
im guessing somewhere shitty like wisconsin or ohio amirite?
>>60678232
kansas city metro. Its bad. You have to have a car to get anywhere. Nearest gas station is a 4-5 min drive and mcy ds is about 8min. Thats all just driving through the suburbs.
>>60678194
Watch her from afar, those ferry rides are a nightmare with all those fat tourists.
>>60678197
Yeah. Chinatown is the only enclave I visit regularly and that's due to it having an nice arcade. I'm sure you can find plenty of nice places though. I've passed Hudson Yard a few times and it's fucking massive. Can't wait to see it all finished.
>>60678170
sadly i don't. i live in a street with 1980 buildings (really common and boring) in the jew zone of the city.
however i'm at 80 mts away from a main avenue (av cordoba), which commute me with some really nice parts of the cities.
and i'm at 500mts away from recoleta neighborhood which is full of parisian streets.
>>60678305
>Chinatown is the only enclave I visit regularly and that's due to it having an nice arcade
>goes to an arcade in Chinatown
FUCK YOU!! I'd kill to do that on a regular basis. Do you live in Manhattan?
>>60678316
with "mts" i mean meters, i don't know distances in miles
>>60678316
>in the jew zone of the city.
Are the Jews there hasids? Does the city get lots of expats or foreign residents (excluding the bolivians and paraguayans)?
>>60678344
Nah I live in Queens, although I've lived in Brooklyn and Mahattan before. I'm a train ride away from Manhattan though so it isn't far by any means.
>>60678397
Is it expensive living there? I assume if you're living on your own youd need a room mate unless you make a pretty good amount of cash.
>>60678460
Prices are definitely going up, a one bedroom in my area can be $1400 a month. Midtown Manhattan you'd be lucky to find a similar place for under $3000 a month. Some nice low income housing is popping up in Brooklyn though. I know someone who pays $600 a month for an apartment with two bathrooms and 3 bedrooms.
>>60678390
>Are the Jews there hasids? just a few of them.
they are fine, nobody complains about them.
>Does the city get lots of expats or foreign residents (excluding the bolivians and paraguayans)?
Buenos aires is divided into "the autonomous city of buenos aires" and "the great Buenos aires". most of the people living in the city is middle class and upper middle class, the inmigrants can't afford to live there, so, some of them move to the south side of the city(wich is more poor), and most of them move to the great buenos aires(about 30 and 40 kilometers away) were the lands is almost free because it's in the limit of the urban area, beyond that place there are the endless pampas.
in the hole area (autonomous city and great buenos aires) live about 15 million people.
>>60678299
sounds like VA too
Who /car dominated city/ here?
>>60678547
>I know someone who pays $600 a month for an apartment with two bathrooms and 3 bedrooms.
Wow. Thats pretty incredible. Thats far cheaper than here and most of the midwest. Here 600/mo gets you a tiny one bedroom.
What do non-Atlantans think on Atlanta?
>>60678631
here
>>60678657
Seems nice. A bit too many negros for my taste.
>>60678631
There is no way to get anywhere in my city with no car.
>>60678632
Yeah the area isn't great obviously, but they've never had trouble in the years they've lived there so for that price it's amazing.
>>60678703
From what I can tell most of the newer low income housing looks a lot better than the stereotypical section 8 projects.
>>60678738
A lot of them are very modern looking. It probably makes cleaning graffiti off the walls easier because I've never seen graffiti in these buildings despite some of them being in East New York.
>>60677235
a otro nivel
>>60678299
NJ/NYC suburbs here. Is there any type of commuter rail or transport in KC?
