IMO Germany should have been the site of the new Jewish state (and not the Middle East).
Germany still had a sizeable population of Jewish people, who were never part of, or descended from, the Middle East - they were European. Hence the rightful location for a Jewish state, for these Jews, was in a Jewish-dense state in Germany.

Again, Poles founded and built up the city since the 900's. It was taken over the Teutons in the 1400's for 100 years, but they were eventually kicked out and it became a Polish city again. Dutchmen, Germans, Prussians started to flood into the PLC and settle there, but Germans were still a minority compared to its whole population, until the 18th century. Even then, the Germans were Polish Germans, faithful towards the Polish crown. And again, Poles have always lived there, they started to be surprised and to shrink after the first Polish partition in the 18th century.

No, that part was built by Poles even before the Teutonic take over. The tenements that were built during Poland's golden age were built by Poles, Dutchmen and Germans mostly in the Dutch/Flemish mannerist, Polish mannerist and baroque architecture. After the partitions of Poland, much of the mannerist and baroque details were removed by the Prussians in the 19th century to remove traces of Polish (PLC) heritage.
