Why doesn't this matter to you, Euros?

http://www.swissinfo.ch/eng/reuters/eu-ministers-tighten-gun-controls-in-wake-of-terrorist-attacks/42219048

Is it simply the norm for the European Parliament to up and decide to limit what you can and can't own?

I know you guys probably don't own or shoot guns on a regular basis, but surely the simple idea that someone you didn't vote for gets to write legislation affecting the entire continent?

And they use that power to drum up arbitrary regulations on whatever they damn well please.

Does it just not bother you?

Shit like this is why I am voting exit fatty-sama

Members of the European Parliament are directly elected by citizens of the EU
>>
>>60612455
exit because you want your companies to be able to export to the world at their own means not because the eu wants to prop up their continentals

exit because you believe in that your elected representatives have to make a show of appeasement to keep their jobs

exit because you want to know that uk can take care of itself without the continentals say or input

exit because the world economy is changing at a very fast pace, either head for the eye of the storm and come out more versatile and efficient or be shielded by the extension of the cold war bureaucracy and end up with very high cost of living trying to support the continentals are your own detriment

Voter apathy is another issue. People don't understand how the EU works.

No they're not, and they don't write legislation either. They just get to rubber stamp whatever the European Council hands them.

European Commission, whose members are selected by national governments (each contry gets one commissioner), does that

European Council consisting of heads of the EU governments sets the agenda
>>

Popular vote ?

42% of the people voted, in every single country that is a democratic one, elections would have to be redone, that is the law.

Not so in the EU.

Think about it, EU has like 500 million citizens, let's say 300 million are eligible voters,

42% turnout rate would put it at 130ish million people who voted.

Biggest party won 25% percent of votes.

that's 30ish million people.

So a group for which 30 million people voted, holds most power in EU.

Which has 500 million people ? How is that fair or democratic ? It's not.

Every country would redo the elections like this.

It is, the people voted.

>42% of the people voted, in every single country that is a democratic one, elections would have to be redone, that is the law.
>Every country would redo the elections like this.
There isn't a single country that has a minimum turnout for general elections. Not one.

Decision making in the EU parliament is done through consensus.

Christian Democrat, Socialist and Liberal factions have to agree if they want to do something

So there will be an election in Croatia soon right ? When the government falls apart ?

If only 30% of the vote and the party you don't want to win, won, you would be completely fine with that ?

>>60613968
Uhm, they do ?

I remember a party that one the elections here, but the voter turnout was 44%, so the elections had to be redone.

Yes. People have a right to not vote.

Where was that one made? Never seen those markings before.

The only ones we get are milsurp or Chinese.

Mine's a Sino-Soviet (Early chink manufacture with Soviet oversight) that the chinks sold to Albania at some point.

That's no excuse for doing nothing and making it easier for them.

Some loopholes will be closed and that is going to make obtaining illegal weapons harder and more costly.

When you have many, even legal weapons, some of them get stolen, lost or bought without licence.

Reducing the elevation of the rear sight seems silly. Just because the military version is graduated out to 1000m doesn't mean you can actually hit anything that far away with it.

>>60616112
But why? You aren't going to hit anything reliably with 7.62x39 past ~400m with good ammo. Drops like a rock.
