Kyoto Univ is higher level Univ than Waseda as study level.
However There is Waseda in Tokyo, and it have more students than Kyoto Univ, and its student don't speak in Kansai dialect.

I don't think many schools in America count classes you take in other schools in your GPA.
Especially classes taken abroad. You may get credit, but they don't count in your GPA usually.
If they had counted mine, though, it would have been great cause it's easy to get straight As.
