The term Middle East comes from the Mideval times when they were trading with Asia, which was called the Far East, the Arab countries were in the middle of the trade route thus calling it the Middle East.
it is not called oppositely from the east perspective but from the middle perspective
what is the deciding factor is that East is a locale and not-East is the pov
thus the nearest East is russia/turkey then middle and the very end of the earth is far.

Turkey and Iran should be severed from the Middle-east. They don't belong. Sure they're Muslim but culturally and temperament wise, they polar opposites from Arabs.
You can tell from the map, Iran is trying to break off from Iraq, same thing with Turkey (in addition to Syria)
