Edmonton is the province I live in, and Edmonton's capital (my city) is Regina. East of us here in Edmonton is the province of Winnipeg, whose capital is Manitoba. The most important reason probably being just FEELING like a separate nation, even if they'd speak the same language (which they don't). The Scots aren't oppressed by the English, yet nearly half of them would've wanted independence when they were asked a couple years back.
