My granny had a friend who moved to Canada decades ago. He thought it was supposed to be just like America so he didn't pack for the weather. It was a month until he got his first paycheck and could buy a proper jacket.

There are lots on the east coast, some even have semi-Irish accents in Newfoundland. There are also Gaeltacht schools there believe it or not.
Also, there are lots of Irish living in Canada now, you just haven't noticed because they wouldn't stand out as much as rasheed or chang does. It become the new place for them to go instead of Australia about 5 years ago. Whistler is very popular with them, as is Vancouver.
