I've started a few threads asking a question that I need input on from several different countries about things like their drinking cultures or the prevalence of american music but they never seem to stick.
Anyways while I have you here is Oktoberfest celebrated country wide? Do non-Bavarians go to Munich for it? How many people there are tourists? Is it looked on fondly or trashy?

We don't really go to Oktoberfest, it's far too much money for beer. It's mostly an upper class and tourist thing. Therefore we don't really consider it trashy, but our Standards are pretty low. We Bavarians have tons of Oktoberfest like festivities with cheaper prices where we get shitfaced instead. Seefest, Wiesenfest, Bergkirchweih/Kärwa...if there's a pretext for getting wasted in public, we'll use it

idk some hostel in munich. I dunno what I was drinking we just went to Lowenbrau, Hofbrauhaus, Augustiner, and Hacker Pschorr and said "ein Bier bitte" and drank whatever they gave us, although i asked for a dark one once
