I don't usually post around here, yet I thought I might do so this time.
The thing is, I'm going abroard with an Erasmus program. It's going to be from September to December or so, maybe a few weeks more, I haven't decided yet.
Now, appart from all the basic stuff anybody would ask, I'm quite more concerned about the cultural differences. For one, I'm not the typical spaniard with all that party, drinking, oversleeping bullshit. I'm just a quiet guy happy with the few things I have. To be honest, I mostly loathe the basta mayority of my own culture, as to me it is way too stupid.
What should I expect? I've been told most of the time I'm going to get involved with other erasmus and shit, wich is kind of cool imo.

Hey, anon, I'll hook you up with some advice
I'm a student at Aalto University but I've also spent semesters abroad. Maybe I can provide you with some insight.

Most likely just a really great, memorable experience. This is the main thing to keep in mind when going on student exchange. It's not 100% about the academics, but the actual experience of living in another country.

Well, honestly most exchange students act like this, especially at universities that are less demanding of their students.
This doesn't mean you have to act like it if you don't want to. There are plenty of different kinds of people who go on exchange, so you can find people like you for sure. You just need to actively search for them as soon as you arrive.
Making friends with different people is more fun though, and provides you with more opportunities to do stuff. Keep that in mind.

Pretty much everyone speaks English and Finns are generally very nice and polite. It's a distant politeness, though, and small talk is kind of frowned upon. You can obviously ask for directions and such but don't expect to be able to just chat up anyone (except the person is drunk).

Helsinki is a pretty cool city. But you should know that the Bachelor campus is located in Otaniemi, Espoo, which is about a 15 minute bus ride from Helsinki.
Only the master's students of the business and arts schools are located in Helsinki I believe. They have their own separate campuses.
Helsinki is an excellent city to live in. Good public transportation system, clean and safe. You can find all services you need here for sure.
Although as some people have pointed out, most Finns do not live in a city like Helsinki. If you're looking to really experience Finland, I suggest widening your horizons outside of the major cities.

Expect a lot of rain and days becoming noticeably shorter. I'm sure it'll also be fairly cold for a Spaniard, but Helsinki stays somewhat "warm" all the way until January due to the Golf stream. You'd be lucky to see more than a few days of snow unless you go outside the city (even like 30-60 minutes away you can already find more snow).

I don't know what you're studying so I can't really offer deep insight. I do know that all schools have their easier and harder courses, though.
The teaching staff is of high quality on average. Some professors might have a very strong Finnish accent, though, so I suggest you try to familiarize yourself with that in advance through i.e. Youtube or something.

Having lived both on the countryside and in Helsinki, they both have their own charm, you know. For a young student looking to start a career, Helsinki (just like any other capital/large city) offers the best possibilities, in my opinion.
