What will be the most useful languages to know in the next 10 years?
Some language learning circles are saying Mandarin is going to fall off. Some say German or Portuguese could be the next big language. What about Russian or Hindi?

German is still useful,french is a meme language.

French is generally agreed to be a strong or strongest contender for "major" language in a few decades because of the rapid growth of Africa. And they breed like crazy. Then again it could just end up like Spanish. Spoken by a bazillion people but only in irrelevant shitholes.
That said France is the European country with the highest birth rate by far. Sure its muzzies but they speak French.
