My parents are Palestinian and I visit my grandparents house in Hebron every two years or so.
My dad does a lot of import-export shit in Palestine that I don't really understand, but he tells me that the market and trade situation is basically one-state right now between Israel and the west bank, and that the markets would basically have to be wrenched apart in a hollistic two state solution.
Most of the people I know my age (20) are so butthurt about the occupation that a one state would literally never work.
If Israel really took their hands off I don't think Fatah would be able to maintain it's stability in power, and shit would get really messy if a two-state was done too eagerly. The PA is still struggling to properly collect taxes, conduct its own economic policy, and so many of the butthurt-types think that Fatah is a jewish trick and so on and so on.
Basically, a one-state wouldn't work; A two-state won't work except through a lot of time and carefulness and butthurt; The occupation at present is such a butthurt-factory that it will only decrease in its stability every year.
Israel is fucking retarded in continuing to build settlements and acquiesce land unless they plan on manhandling their way into a one-state solution, which would require a degree of political reform in Israel which is basically impossible.
Lebanon won't let any Palestinians settle there because it would upset the crucial 30-30-40 sunni-shia-christian ratio and fuck them up. Jordanians hate us.
And that's to say nothing of that shithole Gaza, which I know nothing about, except for the fact that the PA can't stop them from chimping out, Egypt wants to nuke them, and Israel wants them to sink into the ocean.

The 3 main solutions that exist today are:
