I don't think peoplewant to go commie again. The thing is the collapse went down in the worst possible way. Disorganized money grab leading to crony capitalism, everything just shutting down, all that... A slow, predictable and controlled reformation period would have been much better. Sadly, that's not how people work. If you give them a taste of freedums, they'll want more immediately.
