How cold does it get in your country?

When it reaches those temps, how do your countrymen dress?

Can you tell me where do you find -20 in Turkey? I don't recall seeing less than -10 there at the weather.

>>60331165
-25C in the eastern steppes, in January. Usually a sweater and a very thick jacket or coat.
>>
>>60331165
Places in Cordillera are coldest. Baguio can drop to 10 C, but it's usually just below 20 C and night.

In the low lands, it's usually below 30 C. 25 are comfy af.
>>
>>60331370
20 c at night, I mean.
>>
>>60331370
I couldn't live at 20C during the coldest time of the year.
>>
Winter days hover between -5°C and 5°C, winter nights between -10°C and 0°C, rarely does it get below -10°C, widespread temperatures of less than -15°C are so exceptional that they make national news. We put on winter jackets and boots and wool hats I guess.

Everyone live near the coast, so it's not too bad. -25C tops in places like Oslo, west coast rarely even go below -15C.

The inland areas are pretty cold though, below -40C pretty much every year.

Norway is actually incredible warm owing to the gulf stream, Bergen rarely has snow during winters from what I have heard, it's only sleet.

"Inland areas" = Finnmark
>>60331165
Coldest temps usually between -38 and -45 in Lapland and Northeast. Eastern Finland can go down to -40, Western Finland usually doesn't go below -30. Southern Finland is rather mild, doesn't usually ger below -25 in there. We wear wool socks, winter coats, wool hats and thick gloves.

>Bergen rarely has snow during winters from what I have heard, it's only sleet.
There are mountains around/near the city that get loads of snow every year, but downtown usually only has snow for a few days every winter. Just an hour drive away from areas with snow depths of 300cm+ though.
>>
>>60331629
my cunt is too big, but ms gulf coast here.

it can easily get over 100 F during mid/late spring to early fall. during winter the temp usually drops to just above freezing, making our winters the shittiest out there.

couple of years ago it got below 32 and we got a hailstorm. coolest shit ive seen down here.
>>
>>60331705
meant to say -35 for west
>>
>>60331705
>"Inland areas" = Finnmark
Not really, towns like Röros get -35C every winter, many of the areas close to the Swedish border are almost as cold as the coldest areas of Finnmark. Remember Norway is a mountainous country, even southern counties get -30C on a regular basis.
>>
>>60331558

I live in the Southwest, in Arizona, so it's pretty hot year round. In the winter it will sometimes drop below freezing at night, most people just stay inside until it warms up. If there is even 1 inch of snow on the ground, my entire town shut downs until the snow melts.
>>
>>60331724
And doesn't Bergen get flooded when the snow melts?

Coldest I've seen it get in recent memory is -25 celsius.
I live in Missouri. Also, interesting fact: the coldest point in the U.S. is in Colorado, not in Alaska.
>>
>>60331847
It's usually fine, they're used to loads of precipitation being one of Europe's wettest cities, it's usually not a big problem as they don't get extreme amounts of snow. You usually need several metres of snow for flooding to become an issues here, and the areas that get that much are usually prepared and take precautions.

>>60332135
How are you able to live? There are like two, or maximum three weeks with temperatures bigger than 35C and I feel like melting forthwith I step outside of my house.

>>60332096
Surprisingly I caught some sunny weather when I have been to Bergen, in late July. I would also like to live norther because of the dawn/dusk times, especially during winter.
>>
The temperature in Iceland is pretty mild (7°c, 2°c, -6°c etc) it rarely gets very hot or very cold, but the strong wind can make your body temperaturE drop quite a bit.

>>60331727
Why do you fucking munters talk like that? No one understands what you mean outside your shitty country. Use Celsius like a civilised person

>west coast rarely even go below -15C.

Get your facts right autistic boy...

Bergen city rarely goes below 0C during winter, which means that it rarely snows there but it rains alot instead.
>>
>>60333732
That means it's even rarer that it goes below -15C.
>>
I'm wearing gloves, jumper, pants and ugg boots. It's 15C

Once it gets down to 11 I'll have to get my blanky
>>
>>60333821
well that is what makes Bergen what it is, the rainy city. If it had minus temperatures like the rest of northern Europe then there would be several meters of snow there every winter..

But up in the mountains close to Bergen there is crazy conditions

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awqdEQfESWY
>>
Max -10 to -15 degrees celcius, usually -5 to 0.

Usually wears just padded jackets. Accessories like ear covers or gloves are rarely worn
>>
>>60331165
Up in the north inland it can get cold, like -40C or maybe even -50C. Along the coast southern parts maybe -20C.

That being said the other day was +30C here in the sun. Today looks like it's gonna be hot too. Gonna grab a beer and go out do some equations in the sun.
>>
>>60333732
We're talking about minimum temperatures, numbnut, and Bergen is not the entire west coast. We had -13C here in Haugesund this winter.
