St. Andrews is the most esteemed course certainly. And I'm not saying it isn't good, its amazing to experience playing it, but if you are looking at the course alone and not the mystique the best courses are in Ireland and Northern Ireland. There are still great courses in Scotland but overall Ireland wins.
