I work as a doorman in NYC. My building has a lot of elderly Americans. Mostly widows but some couples still alive. Their adult children visit maybe once or twice a year. It's mostly the building staff that look after them. Listen to their stories, help them out of bed run errands for them. One of my coworkers is actually in an old ladies will.
