At least that's what i feel it's like. Some part of my family migrated to US like two decades ago, some of my cousins were born in Poland and one was born in US. I never asked them before, but i think that they do consider themselves as Poles.

A few reasons. I don't really have an family in America, so it's my only choice unless I want to be a foreigner to my own family. I also believe in sticking together with your own people. Nah man, I don't know when did they migrate, but it was much easier to live back then if you could work or live abroad, my father, contrary to his brother, didn't decide to migrate but he still visited US to work and it gave a huge boost to our family's budget.

I understand what goes through immigrants minds, so I don't think that they are necessarily bad people. I think that it would have worked out better for our family too if my parents just stayed. Sure, I might have more money, but having our family split up between countries like this sucks. And besides, America is actually kind of a depressing place to live. America's got about 400 years of history, you have different culture, traditions, holidays, etc. Is it because of multiculturalism? Is it because of being a union of states? I must agree that although Poles aren't that friendly to eachother IMO (even on the internet you can see Poles insulting their own nationality, being embarassed of their own homeland, etc.), i feel that in case of emergency everyone would just stand up and fight for eachother.

I think you answered the question yourself. Multiculturalism just doesn't work. But seriously, look it up, America has really high depression rates, it's not just me spouting anecdotal evidence. America does have it's own culture, but it made a mistake that it just kept making itself more and more diverse. It doesn't work because it's against human nature. Once the immigrants come here, they just self segregate anyway. Even children of immigrants stick together. Shit, even their children probably do to an extent. "Self segregation" is a big thing in American high schools and colleges. I've heard that multiculturalism works out better in Canada, because they don't try to force the "melting pot" idea. They allow immigrants to keep their culture and integrate at their own pace. Even then, there is no perfect form of multiculturalism. It always ends badly. Someday the US and Canada will go the way of Yugoslavia, the USSR, Austro-Hungary, etc.
